Mr. McDaniel has been in the management and executive levels of the LTL freight industry for over 35 years. Mr. McDaniel held Service Center Manager and Regional Vice President positions with Carolina Freight before being bought by ABF in 1995. Mr. McDaniel won several management awards in his career including the prestigious Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award for Service by the US Congress. In 1997, Mr. McDaniel ventured away from the corporate environment when he founded Logi-Trans, Inc. an Asset-Based Warehousing and Trucking Operation located in Atlanta, GA. He stepped into the entrepreneurial arena once again when he Co-Founded Logi-Trans Express, LLC in 2009, which is now known as LTX. Mr. McDaniel focuses his talents on operational and procedural improvements while remaining determined to present a positive and supportive atmosphere for all employees. Mr. McDaniel is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Transportation.
Mr. Giles has reached the CEO level with four different organizations. His track record of building teams and turn around performance with both private equity backing and publically traded companies is impressive. While the majority of his career has been with freight rail transportation companies, Mr. Giles is an expert at process improvement and identifying and executing strategies.
Following a twenty-year career with CSX Transportation which included running Planning and Process Improvement organizations, Mr. Giles led the Merchandise Sales and Marketing department with all commercial responsibility for a $3B business.
He then led turnarounds at Great Lakes Transportation (owned by Blackstone) until 2004, Florida East Coast Railway (owned by Fortress Investment Group) until 2010 and Rail America (privatized by Fortress Investment Group and later taken public) until it was sold at the end of 2012. Presently, Mr. Giles is the CEO of the Central Maine and Quebec Railway.
Mr. Hart has held leadership roles in: rail transportation, locomotive maintenance and service design, strategy development, organizational design, mergers & acquisitions including valuation and negotiation.
Mr. Hart began his career as a management consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Assignments were primarily in the transportation field across Asia, South America and the United States working with railroads, ports, utilities and manufacturers. Mr. Hart then joined CSX Transportation serving in several roles including: VP of Motive Power, VP of Service Design, VP of M&A and finally VP of Strategy reporting to the Chairman. He moved on to Pacer International as their EVP of Strategy responsible for strategic planning and M&A activity reporting to the Chairman.
Since retirement Mr. Hart has served on several boards of directors and as a strategic consultant for rail equipment leasing, logistics, transportation and security companies.
A successful serial entrepreneur, Mr. Hart has started and managed companies in transportation, financial services, apparel and real estate.
After half a decade consulting with large firms in Washington, DC, in 1995, Mr. Hart developed an investor group and bought the assets of a bankrupt trucking company in Jacksonville, FL. As CEO of Hart Transportation, he grew his company into a $30M operation with terminals throughout the state of Florida and the Southeast. Mr. Hart and Hart Transportation received numerous awards including Fastest Growing Private Company, as recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine and the Ultimate CEO Award in Northeast FL, as recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal. Since completing the sale of Hart Transportation in 2012 to a publicly traded transportation company he has worked in consulting for railroads, oil and gas companies, and technology firms.
Mr. Hart is an experienced leader having served in leading roles within M&A, sales, change management and business strategy and analysis. He has built successful teams at multiple companies. Mr. Hart is a motivated problem solver with a career in operations, and able to improve processes while understanding the impact on the organization affected.
Mr. Hart is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Mr. Putterman spent 22 years in the railroad industry working at CSX Transportation, a large publically-traded freight railroad and in the shortline railroad industry at RailAmerica, a company that was taken private by a private equity firm and subsequently went public.
Mr. Putterman is a transportation executive with broad management experience and a career of equal parts in finance, operations, strategy development and relationship management. He is a deal maker and experienced negotiator with customers and counterparties of varied size and motivation and a recognized industry leader, able to energize teams and improve processes.
Mr. Putterman is a strategic thinker, able to clearly define, communicate and solve complicated issues. He has created partnerships with industry peer companies, customers and government entities, from federal agencies to states and municipalities. Additionally, he has lead several teams that successfully developed and ingrained technology solutions to business problems saving millions of dollars.
Mr. Putterman is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Mr. Adams was a managing director with EVE Partners, a boutique investment bank specializing in transportation and logistics where Mr. Adams completed over 100 transactions in the transportation and logistics market segment.
Mr. Adams is a creative solutions provider with significant experience in managing distressed operations. He has held six interim C-level positions for private equity portfolio companies with various roles including CAO, CEO, and COO.
Prior to that, Mr. Adams held operational roles with Republic Industries and Waste Management Inc. in the United States and Europe. At Waste Management, he managed operations in multiple states and helped introduce the frontend loader system in Italy. At Republic Industries, he completed over 20 waste transactions and sited a regional landfill in South Carolina.
Mr. Adams is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting. After spending three years working as a Certified Public Accountant in the audit group at Deloitte, Mr. Adams received his Masters of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
